A wonderful love story.
Eloquent… Insightful… Sincere… Loving. These are just some words that come to mind when I read A Love Story by Lance Secretan. These words seem inadequate to express the way I felt reading the beautiful words written by Lance about his relationship his beautiful soul mate, Tricia. Lance opens his heart, and eloquently shares their love story. It's hard to imagine two people could share a more special love than the one Lance writes; many think it can only be in a fairytale. Fairy tales come true in A Love Story. I laughed, cried, and my faith in the power of love was renewed, and so will yours. This is a must read.
I received this book today and I read it cover to cover. I was drawn into a experience that took my breath away. I had the pleasure of meeting beautiful Tricia and to see the God touched views from the cliff house. My heart pounded reading the soulful poetry and I could FEEL the love they shared which was vulnerably and wonderfully captured by Lance. I will read this over and over again. Thank you for sharing with us.
Lance has been teaching and modeling leadership for years. Now with A Love Story, he shows us what a true love relationship between soul mates looks like. Lance recollects moments of his life and relationship with his late wife Tricia through poetry and vignettes that evoke a range of emotions. His book gives us inspiration and hope that we can all find and experience a love like this and gives us clues to how to do it. This is a great book to enjoy for yourself and also for couples to share.
How much love can there be in one person's heart that can inspire us to expand our lives to infinite dimensions.
Lance is one of a kind of this rare group of individuals.
As I read A Love Story, I am inspired to love in a myriad of ways, in my very own way but with no less intensity and passion.

I was fortunate enough to know Tricia Secretan. She was one of the most beautiful women, inside & out, that I have ever known. I felt that I had known her for years after a 2 hour ride on a shuttle. I was really looking forward to reading Lance's tribute to Tricia. I have never had "relationship envy" until I met Lance & Tricia. Watching the two of them together was always magical. "A Love Story" captures the magic that they shared with all who knew them. Lance's poetry is woven throughout the book in ways that enhances the stories of their lives. It will make you smile, it will make you laugh & while there will be tears over a beautiful life that ended too soon, this book will touch your heart.
I heard Lance speak at a conference I was attending and promptly determined to order this book - the kindle version. Speaking with him later, he commented that if I did that, I would miss experiencing the special care taken to produce the hardcover version. So, that's what I ordered. And, I'm so glad I did! The richness of the vellum, the ragged pages, the vibrancy of the cover....they all added to the richness of the story of Tricia and Lance. Two people in total love who enjoyed one another and life itself fully and joyfully. The story is lovely, the poetry amazing, and though I never met Tricia, I feel as though I've made a friend. Thank you Lance!
